You will receive 6 hours of continuing education credit upon completion of this study.  You can also receive your required 6 hours of GT update credit.





You will be expected to keep up with your reading and post by each deadline.  You will have to post your personal response to the assignment and respond to at least one post from another librarian. This activity offers you the opportunity to collaborate with your colleagues.

Here are the designated benchmarks for this study:

  • Benchmark 1 deadline = June 18           Chapters 1 & 2
  • Benchmark 2 deadline = June 25           Chapters 3 & 4 
  • Benchmark 3 deadline = July 2              Chapters 5 & 6
  • Benchmark 4 deadline = July 9              Chapters 7 & 8
  • Benchmark 5 deadline = July 16            Chapters 9 & 10 

Key Questions:

There are four key questions to answer for each assignment.  Please post your response to each of the four questions.  Remember to post your responses and respond to at least one other member by each deadline. 

FOUR QUESTIONS:
  1. What was new for you in these chapters?
  2. What did you read that you know is true and can relate to based upon what you have seen in your experience as an educator?
  3. Did something interest you that you would like to research further to obtain more information?
  4. How will this change what you do daily or how can you implement what you learned from these chapters?
